The city of Las Vegas believes that art enriches public places. This exhibition of creative and thought-provoking works of art celebrates the city’s extraordinary character and its unique perspectives. Curated by Darren Johnson, the artwork selected for this exhibition aims to strengthen the public’s understanding of the value of creative expression, fostering connections between artistic practice and the advancement of the community. Of the 39 works exhibited, Mejía’s painting Remembrance was one of 11 acquired by the city. The work is permanently displayed on the 7th floor of Las Vegas City Hall.
